Independent Archival Research Project

Principal Researcher & Archivist | Oct 2020 – Present | Severna Park, MD

• Built a lineage database of 3,200+ records and a digital repository of 80+ documents and publications, with the oldest branch traced to 570 A.D. through a published family memoir
• Negotiated restricted access with India's Ministry of Culture & Tourism to digitize at-risk manuscripts at the National Library of Kolkata
• Shortlisted and contacted 74 translators and engaged 13 to produce the first English translation of a Bengali family memoir; later completed a revised translation myself with family review
• Partnered with UMD's Pakistani and Indian student associations to decipher a rare Urdu Shijra manuscript acquired from Hamburg

• Directed "Ignited Tears," a documentary on the Rohingya refugee crisis, following BMRC ethical guidelines to protect patient identities
• Founded a 22-member UMD chapter, secured Do Good Institute seed funding, and partnered with Snyder Consulting Group to fund a month of medications for 500 refugees
• Secured Meta nonprofit verification by coordinating US–Bangladesh tax documentation, unlocking digital fundraising tools
• Added speech-to-text to the website (HTML/JavaScript) for users with vision or hearing impairments
